I always used to get writers block after 2 or 3 pages of writing ... here's how I got over it.
1. I try to develop the story line at length in my head ... sort of like day-dreaming it, to see where it goes.
2. I make notes and flesh out the characters.
3. I make an appointment with myself to write a given amount, at a given time - everyday!
I also recommend limbering up with some creative writing exercises. I pick a random word or phrase, set a timer for 10 minutes and jot down whatever comes into my head about the subject I have chosen.
I also find I produce my best writing about things I have experienced first-hand!
Good luck with your writing
